THE TILE SOURCE's solutions for wet rooms
Wet rooms are the modern way to shower. A walk in shower set in an uncluttered room has been popular on the continent for years and the trend has now arrived in the UK. The basis of any wet room is creating a fully waterproof environment (sometimes called tanking) with a tiled shower tray and a floor drain. When coupled with Magnum Electric Underfloor Heating System, the room will take on the appearance and feel of a luxurious spa. Creating a wet room in your house requires a little planning but is no longer out of reach to most people. We can provide a full range of solutions for the creation of your dream wet room or how to waterfproof vulnerable areas in traditional bathrooms. To plan your wet room there are a number of simple steps you need to follow:

Step 1
Establish where you wish to position your Marmox wet room shower tray and drain. Your plumber will need to check that the proposed drain site will have sufficient falls and that there are no obstructions like metal beams in the way. Screeded floors will require some of the screed to be removed if you wish the finished shower to be flush with the floor. Step 2
You now need to decide what waterproofing system to use on the walls, floors (and the type of underfloor heating) and then the exciting task of chosing your tiles and sanitary ware for your wet room.
